A few cable's lengh away from Roscoff (about 15 minute-crossing), the Island of Batz has cast anchor in the Gulf Stream's wake. This quiet island conceals many treasures, the most remarkable living in the heart of its inhabitants : authenticity.
Series of dunes, white sand beaches, green luxuriance of the Georges Delaselle botanical garden, wild coastlines are as many different viewpoints that uncover as you stroll along.
Several buildings and relics are testimony to the ancient settlement of the island, such as these remains of Bronze Age or the ruins of Saint Anne's chapel (to the East) or Saint Pol's stole (in the village church). More recently the lighthouse, Captain's houses or the guardroom have shaped the outline of the island...
To reach the island
Every day, all year round there are regular shuttle boats between the old harbour in Roscoff and the isle of Batz (15 min crossing)
From October 15th to March 31st :
Start from the island : 7.45*am, 9am, 10:30am, 12:45am, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm and 6:00pm
Start from Roscoff : 8:30*am, 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm
*canceled on sunday and public holidays
From April 1st to June 30th and from September 1st to October 31st:
Start from the island :7:45am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 11:20am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm and 6:30pm
Start from Roscoff : 8:30am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 6:00pm and 7:00pm
From July 31st to August 31st :
Start from the island : 7:00am, 8:00am and every 30mn until 7:30pm
Start from Roscoff : Every 30mn from 8:00am until 8:00pm
Tickets are sold directly onboard the ferry, and at the ticket office on the old port of Roscoff from april to october.
